A relative’s visa is issued to a foreigner who is a member of the immediate family of a citizen or a permanent resident, provided that such citizen or permanent resident provides the prescribed financial assurance. Currently R8 500.00 this financial assurance is not required where the South African citizen or permanent resident is a dependent child.
